John Muir Peak, located near my house in Mt Shasta! What a shame it was when this mountain’s name was changed to Black Butte by the railroad. Why I ask?

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, I certainly did. It was so nice to have a few days off and enjoy a holiday fire in my home while kicking-back and enjoying some great teas. The ski park opened before Christmas, which is always important to our economy up here and around Mt Shasta. Please this winter do us all a favor and stay in Dunsmuir and Mt Shasta to ski or steelhead fish. The Trinity and the Klamath are really producing the greatest steelhead EVER, and the ski park is epic as usual when open this early. THANK YOU FOR SPENDING YOUR TOURIST DOLLARS IN DUNSMUIR, McCLOUD, WEED, MT SHASTA & WEAVERVILLE THIS WINTER!!

Hi Jack!

I sent you something. I hope you received it!

I have a day of craziness today, wrapping, cleaning and grocery shopping. Tonight, I’m going to my aunt’s house. Tomorrow morning it’s breakfast here with the other Schmids (Robert and his girlfriend, Christi and her family). Then, it’s out to Silver Springs for an early dinner with my mom, grandma and 14 others.

Great Pics, Jack! You do good!! Is there a way you can send those to me unreduced, the way they came off the camera? I put these onto my big (32≈) computer screen on as randomly rotating screensavers, and pics that come off emails where the pics are reduced in their digital file size to speed the transmission often get fuzzy when magnified.

And tell that guy with the for sale sign that I want part of the commission when the house sells!

As to Chile, a change in our itinerary just isn≠t going to happen at this point; there have been too many moving parts. We will only have the one day to fish in the National Park, the 15th, I believe. It would be great if you could come over and fish with us that day.

I’m not an “undisclosed recipient! I’m Ron Beck!!! Since I live in South Florida and hate cold weather, when would you suggest that I come to California and fish with you? What will we be fishing for and what do I have to bring with me. I have talked to you on the phone and received a few EMails. I can’t get free for Chile this year. Hopefully next year. But I can get free for three or four days to fish CA with you, assuming you guarantee me no snow or sub 40 temperatures while we are fishing!! (just kidding)

I feel like I know you. You really have a terrific fishing personality.
